FROM THIS....

TO THIS....

[This poor sap watched his iPhone morph into a pile of iCrap in just 24 hours]

In true Apple fashion...the iPhone warranty is only 90 days, the customer must go directly to Apple (not the carrier) and there is no Applecare available nor is there any publicly planned in the near future.

And to pour some more salt in those Apple wounds.... the damn phone isn't even 3G compatible. Apple made the lame decision to base the iPhone on the EDGE network which plain and simply sucks as a data service. Of course if your iPhone is within wifi range you will get better performance...fat chance assholes...my wifi is locked down tighter'n Ft. Knox....you will not be able to use your iTrash on my network!

So lets add this all up... AT&T (aka Stinkular) + Early Termination Fee (existing carrier) + Lousy Battery Life + 3 Day Battery Replacement Cycle (you can't do it yourself) + Horrible Customer Service + Dated Data Technology + Cost $649.00 = YOU GOT SCAMMED PEOPLE! puker

What's even funnier....most didn't really know what they were buying because...

1). Apple was deliberate in their attempts to avoid full disclosure (once again...just like Apple)

2). Most people don't look at consumer satisfaction surveys (had they...they would never have even considered AT&T aka Stinkular as a provider, no matter how juicey the Apple)

3). We have a cross section of our society that just insists on outdoing the Jones's (the neighbor next door or that knowitall coworker). And Apple thrives on exactly that mentality. They will ignore all common sense instead opting to take their chances....no matter how much warning they are given.

Bottom line, for months to come this is going to be a pain in the ass product and those who are unlucky enough to have the early versions (assuming it lasts that long) will really be kicking themselves.

No matter the hype my prediction for this generation of Apple invention is

iPhone to iCrap (it's present state in just 72 hours) to iFlop in a very short period of time. Soon these buyers will only be singing one song and the first word will no doubt be iStupid.

And for you iStupid people we have a free ride to work. It was the least we could do since you wasted all that money you may need help buying gas....

Laughing Then you'll love this ISP. I know a guy who bought one, his wife liked it enough she had him pick her one up. And to top it off. He put all $1272 on his credit card. Mr. Green

Gotta love that.

When will people learn to let others be the ginnie pig first. I do and save lots of hassles and $$$$

Where did you get THAT information?

The warranty is a year:

http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/

But please, don't let actual facts get in the way of your uninformed ranting.

ISP probably read same erroneous 90 day warranty information that many of the rest of us did, which was reported by more than one reputable news agency. I believe the confusion was caused by the second to last paragraph here: http://www.apple.com/support/iphone/service/faq/, also quoted below:

Quote:
Does Apple warranty cover my iPhone service?
If Apple provides service under warranty, the terms of the warranty and applicable provisions of law will cover defects in materials and workmanship that arise during the warranty or 90 days after iPhone service, which ever provides longer coverage for you. If iPhone service is provided outside of warranty, Apple warrants that the repaired iPhone will be free from defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the date of the iPhone service.

Thank you for your witty riposte, however.

The information is widely available from numerous sources. Judging by the information from FPH it appears that Apple has found a way to creatively confuse the hell out of everyone regarding their warranty. Frankly by the post from FPH I'm leaning towards the warranty actually being 90 days if Apple thinks it can get away with it.

Since I am a fair and honest man kindly post the entire warranty in this thread and lets disect it to keep Apple honest. Hey...I won't lie...I DON'T LIKE APPLE PERIOD...but I will be fair....

And one last thing Adam...while I welcome you as a new guest to our site I would appreciate it very much if your first post isn't one that lets say attacks the integrity of the staff (mainly myself). I am brutally honest and will always stand up for whats right.

All I ask is that people treat each other with respect....so with that said...Welcome to ISPgeeks and I'm sure your next post will be just as friendly as mine.... Mr. Green

Okay since Adam has left us....here is the actual iPhone warranty...

http://images.apple.com/legal/warranty/iphone.pdf

With that being said I will make a minor correction to the above post. I find it funnier n hell that the only part Adam could dispute was the warranty. Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green
